I wish partnering with more insurance companies worked for me, but I commit the most of myself to the therapeutic process and do my best work for you when I limit my partnerships to insurance companies that make it easy to work with them, value the work I do, and support my practice instead of diminishing it. I believe everyone deserves access to affordable, quality mental health and medical care regardless of income level and I hope someday we have a system that allows for that while also supporting the wellness of our practitioners.
If you don’t see your insurance listed below and you instinctively want to work with me, I invite you to consider using your out-of network insurance benefits or paying out-of-pocket. It’s probably not what you were planning, and who doesn’t like spending less? But I want you to think about where it is worth spending your well-earned money. Having the right therapist with you can be priceless; it absolutely influences what you get out of the therapeutic work you do. How do you value the time, energy, desire, intimacy and self-worth you could bring back into your life if you resolved the suffering, hardship or conflicts you’re currently experiencing? In a country where the average person spends $100/month on a cellphone, $132/month on cable and internet, and $232/month eating out, what are we willing to invest in our mental and emotional health and well-being? What is the quality of our lives worth to us and what might we be willing to give up or sacrifice to improve it?
I am an in-network provider with: Premera, First Choice Health Network, and Kaiser Permanente Options or Access PPO*.
*Please note that the Kaiser Options and Access PPO plans utilize a different network than the Kaiser HMO insurance plans do. I am not part of the Kaiser HMO network. If you don’t know which plan you have please contact Kaiser.
I provide out-of-network services for any other insurance plan that includes out-of-network (OON) benefits. Please check with your insurance plan to determine if you have OON benefits. For OON billing, you pay the cost of services based on the above fees and your insurance company reimburses you directly for the portion they allow. If it is easy, I am happy to submit electronic claims on your behalf to save you the hassle of additional paperwork.
I do not do secondary insurance billing under any circumstances.
